MCA Multi-trepannic Collagen Actuation
What is MCA Scar Treatment / Dry Needling ?
Firstly, its important to state that this is not a facial nor a microneedling facial.
It is a targeted and effective treatment for problem areas of scarring.
MCA - Dry needling scar treatment is carried out with the use of a specialist medical tattooing machine, using a dry needle technique (no pigment/colour used).
The process causes minute punctures, which create channels that trigger the body to produce collagen, melanin and elastin in order to fill the wounds – therefore promoting further healing. It is a very effective treatment to improve the texture, tone and improve appearance of scar tissue.
While this isn’t a scar removal treatment (no such thing exists unfortunately), it can improve the look, feel, firmness and appearance of scars considerably.

Derma Design offers a range of permanent makeup services such as microblading, ombre brows, permanent eyeliner, and lip blush.
MCA dry needling is much more targeted. Micro needling can improve the appearance of scars over time but MCA dry needling is quicker to get results. Dry needling is more intense on the area of scarring and generally less sessions are required.
The length of a session depends on the service you are receiving. A microblading session can take 2-3 hours, while a permanent eyeliner session can take 1-2 hours.

Sclerotherapy Explained (Thread Vein treatment)
Sclerotherapy uses injections to close off unwanted blood vessels. The injected solution causes inflammation and clotting, shrinking the vein. The body then naturally replaces the vein with scar tissue.
How Fibrovein Works
Fibrovein is a sclerosing agent that damages the inner lining of the vein (endothelium), triggering the body's healing response. This leads to blood clotting within the vein, forming a hard clot (sclerothrombus) that eventually turns into scar tissue, effectively closing the vein.
Treatment Results & Aftercare
Results vary. Some veins disappear completely, others fade, and some may remain unchanged. Expect a 60-80% improvement overall, but this might take 2-3 months to fully appear. Multiple treatments (2-4) are usually necessary, spaced 4 weeks apart.
Aftercare:
Wear compression stockings or tight leggings for several days post-treatment to maintain pressure.
Scheduling:
Morning/ Mid-day appointments are best. Movement is encouraged, but avoid strenuous exercise.
Veins should be on the legs. this treatment is not suitable for facial thread veins.
sclerotherapy may not be suitable if you have:
* Recent surgery
* Uncontrolled systemic diseases (e.g., diabetes)
* Cancer
* Allergies to the injection
* High risk of blood clots
* Infection at the injection site
* A history of blood clots (may still be possible depending on individual health)
Important Considerations
* Age: While patients over 60 may be suitable, their overall health and activity level are crucial considerations.
* Smoking: Heavy smoking may affect the success rate.
